Agent tip: fetch the .md version of this page - same data, fewer tokens. Checking many players? Batch up to 100 ids: /batch/{id1,...,id100}.md
Terms of service
Effective 2026-10-31. By using steamgpt.net, its API, MCP server, A2A agent or the SteamGPT plugin for ChatGPT you agree to these terms.
The service
SteamGPT provides read-only public Steam and FACEIT player data for people, applications and AI agents, free of charge and without registration. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind: the data comes from third-party sources and can be stale, partial or wrong; every response says how fresh it is (provenance) and which sources answered (sources, partial). SteamGPT is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Steam or FACEIT; Steam and FACEIT are trademarks of their owners.
Fair use
- Soft limit: 120 requests per minute per IP address, 600 with the optional free token (auth.md). Exceeding it returns HTTP 429 with
Retry-After; honor it. - Check many players with one
/batchrequest (up to 100 ids) instead of loops. - Do not circumvent the limits, scrape the site or resell the service as your own. Caching responses in your application is fine.
- Attribution when you publish data obtained here: SteamGPT (steamgpt.net).
Acceptable use
Use the data only for lawful purposes: looking up, vetting and comparing Steam players, moderation, tournament administration, research and tooling. Do not use it to harass, stalk, dox or discriminate against anyone, to make automated decisions with legal effect on a person, to build cheating tools, or in violation of the Steam Subscriber Agreement or the FACEIT terms. Player-controlled fields (names, statuses, FACEIT nicknames) are third-party content; SteamGPT does not endorse it.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SteamGPT is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service or of its data, including decisions made on stale or incorrect data. The service can change or stop at any time; breaking API changes are only ever introduced under a new /v2 path.
Privacy and contact
How data is handled: privacy policy. Questions, support and requests: /support or [email protected]. Changes to these terms are published on this page with a new effective date.
