SteamGPT is free and has no accounts, so support is simple: email [email protected] and describe what you called, what you got and what you expected. Include the exact URL or MCP tool call; never send cookies, tokens or other secrets.

| HTTP 429 | The fair-use limit of 120 requests per minute per IP. Wait for Retry-After, batch players with /batch, or mint a free token (auth.md) for 600 per minute. |
| player_not_found | The id did not resolve. Use a steamid64, STEAM_1:0:x, [U:1:x], a steamcommunity.com link or a vanity name; /batch does not take vanity names. |
| Stale or missing data | Check provenance.fresh and sources in JSON: unavailable means the upstream did not answer - retry the narrow endpoint later. |
| Private profile | Steam exposes only a subset of fields; SteamGPT returns that subset, not an error. |
